SCHAKO VPEX ATEX Plastic Volumetric Flow Controller is a round volumetric flow controller made of PPs-EL plastic material. Suitable for use with aggressive components of polluted air and specially designed for use in areas subject to explosion hazards. Approved for all gases in zones 1, 2 and for dusts in zones 21, 22 with ATEX approval. Can also be used in zones 1 and 2 of explosion group IIC. This comprehensive approval guarantees safe operation even in most hazardous industrial environments. Provides superior chemical resistance with PPs-EL plastic material. This special plastic formulation offers excellent durability against aggressive chemicals, acids, bases and corrosive gases. Completely eliminates corrosion risk compared to metal components. Used for pressure-independent volumetric flow regulation in ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Serves to keep volumetric flow either constant within specified limits (CAV) or to control it variably (VAV). Provides closed control loop with feedback. Housing, measuring sensor, control flap, PID controller with pressure sensor and actuator form a closed control loop with feedback. This system allows demand-dependent, energy-saving air conditioning and optimally controls single rooms or areas of air-conditioning systems. Provides reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions with IP66 protection index control components. Offers superior protection against dust, moisture and other external factors. Guarantees long-lasting performance in harsh conditions of aggressive chemical environments. Provides precise pressure control in 0-300 Pa measuring range. Works at ambient temperatures from 0°C to +50°C and delivers reliable measurement performance in measuring air conditions of 0-+50°C, 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing). Controlled with 0-10V DC and 2-10V DC command signal. Works with 24V AC/DC ±15% supply voltage (50/60Hz). These standard signal ranges provide compatibility with most industrial control systems and offer easy integration opportunity. Regulates air velocity in duct in range of 2-13 m/s. This wide speed range meets different application requirements and provides system flexibility. Feature of being usable with vertical axis increases mounting options. Provides precise control in Vmin, Vmid, Vmax, "OPEN" or "CLOSED" positions with positive control feature.
